E intendo che ogni idea si basa su 1, 2, 3, 4, anche 5 idee musicali, soprattutto nei pezzi lunghi. La coesione è un elemento basilare per me. E devo dire che è proprio la coesione che manca nella musica che senti girare oggi. Viviamo in un mezzo a sonorità sofisticate e stratificate. Ci sono moltissimi giovani musicisti jazz che hanno grandi capacità e molte buone idee, ma si tratta di idee disconnesse l’una dall’altra. Non legano le idee, in sostanza. Per me invece l’aspetto narrativo del mettere in stretta connessione le idee è un aspetto basilare della volontà di comunicare come musicista, cioè attraverso la musica. E lo è stato anche nella piattaforma di&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Orchestrion”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;La mancanza di connessione tra idee è un segno dei tempi?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;“Potrebbe essere. Viviamo in un mondo dove la distrazione è una costante. Per questo la costruzione narrativa, che crea la coesione di cui parlavo prima, è così importante. È terribile suonare e avere allo stesso tempo la sensazione che nessuno stia entrando davvero in ciò che fai. La melodia per me ha un rilievo fondamentale nella musica, ma che possibilità abbiamo di ragionare in termini di melodia? Voglio dire: possiamo parlare di armonia e di ritmo per giorni interi, possiamo quantificare armonia e ritmo ma non esiste un linguaggio che ci permetta di ragionare in modo costruttivo sulla melodia. Gli aspetti melodici dell’armonia e del ritmo per me sono importantissimi: la melodia è proprio quella narrazione che dà coesione alla musica. Ogni idea deve collegarsi alla precedente e alla successiva. I miei eroi musicali, come Sonny Rollins, Gary Burton, Wes Montgomery, Igor Stravinsky e Johan Sebastian Bach, erano maestri nel mettere in connessione idee melodiche. Posso includere nell’elenco anche sperimentatori come Cecyl Taylor e Derek Bailey. Tutti gli autori che ho citato hanno creato un flusso narrativo in musica. Non una semplice lista di idee, ma una rete di idee collegate che dà forma a uno stile. Non semplici basi registrate, quindi, ma “agenti” musicali non umani che suonano con band leader (umano, troppo umano o superumano, come preferite).&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Angeli@Demoni&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; è entrato con Pat Metheny tra i meccanismi mobili di Orchestrion.&lt;br /&gt;Questa è la prima parte dell'intervista.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal"&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Qual era la tua intenzione basilare quando hai immaginato “Orchestrion”?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal; "&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="display: inline !important; "&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;“Questo progetto è ricco di elementi di fascino, a molti livelli. È una piattaforma e, allo stesso tempo, è un media speciale che offre nuove opportunità e nuovi ambiti di ricerca o di indagine, in tutti gli aspetti relativi alla musica. L’idea embrionale del progetto mi venne molti anni fa. Mio nonno possedeva un &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;piano meccanico&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, il cosiddetto &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;player piano&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, uno strumento antico che, nel XIX secolo, era considerato fantascientifico. L’attrazione per questo strumento mi ha accompagnato per tutta la vita. In qualche modo ho sempre pensato a come realizzare qualcosa nello spirito del player piano, cioè di una orchestra meccanica che nacque e venne usato prima dell’avvento dell’industria discografica, cioè prima che incidere la musica diventasse una pratica consueta. Ragionando sul sistema dell’&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Orchestrion&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; mi sono chiesto molte volte: perché questo modo di fare musica è stato abbandonato? Un paio di anni fa ricevetti una chiamata dal compositore Steve Reich. Nel 1989 registrai i brani, scritti da Reich, che costituivano l’opera &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Electric Counterpoint&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;. Ero io da solo, con la mia chitarra ma, tramite numerose sovra incisioni, era come ascoltare un’orchestra di chitarristi. Qualche anno da mi venne chiesto di suonare Electric Counterpoint dal vivo alla Carnegie Hall. Salii sul palco, accompagnato soltanto dalle registrazioni di altre 12 parti che avevo suonato e inciso in precedenza. Il concerto fece impazzire la audience e, dopo la performance, nel retro del palco dissi a me stesso: ho suonato con dei nastri registrati ed è andata molto bene. È arrivato il momento di dare corpo a quel desiderio che porto dentro di me sin dai tempi dell’infanzia: è arrivato il momento di realizzare Orchestrion“.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=" font-style: normal;  "&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="display: inline !important; "&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Quali sono state le fasi di realizzazione?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=" font-style: normal;  "&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;“Iniziai a lavorare al progetto, con il supporto di liutai e tecnici del suono. Avevo le idee chiare in merito al risultato che volevo ottenere e scrissi molto materiale. Ma quando gli strumenti dell’Orchestrion furono pronti scoprii che la musica che avevo composto non poteva funzionare con questa nuova struttura. Buttai via tutto e ricominciai da capo. Furono proprio questi strumenti a mostrarmi le opportunità che potevo esplorare, sotto il profilo armonico e melodico. Scrissi la nuova musica basandomi sulla natura di Orchestrion, non cercai di piegare Orchestrion al mio volere. Cerco sempre di trarre il massimo dal potenziale che il contesto mi offre. Voglio dire, quando suono con un grande bassista è mia cura scrivere delle parti di basso che siano all’altezza del suo talento. Se suono con un grande batterista lo porterò a dare il meglio di sé. E così via. Con i membri di Orchestrion non potevo rapportarmi con il talento: sono strumenti inanimati, che tuttavia hanno un potenziale. La piattaforma strumentale ha definito la tavolozza utilizzabile. Il processo di approfondimento è stato incredibile. Il brano che apre il disco dura 16 minuti e consta di 200 pagine di spartito. L'obiettivo è quello di dare spazio alla musica, al genio, alle pulsioni, alle idiosincrasie e alle nevrosi musicali di &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/johnzorn"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;John Zorn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; e dei numerosi musicisti/compositori che hanno collaborato o collaborano con lui (Marc Ribot, Rob Burger, Uri Caine, Joey Baron, Greg Cohen, Medeski Martin &amp;amp; Wood, Sylvie Courvoisier, Koby Israelite, Cracow Klezmer Quartet, Bill Frisell, Dave Douglas, Trey Spruance, Trevor Dunn, giusto per citarne alcuni). A dispetto delle assonanze con il romanzo di Dan Brown, il nome "Angeli e Demoni" prende spunto dal songbook "Masada 2 - Book of Angels", che al momento consta di 14 album pubblicati da &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.tzadik.com/"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Tzadik&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; e dedicati da Zorn alla &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demonologia"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;demonologia &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;cristiana e agli angeli caduti (Lucipher, Orobas, Balan, Xaphan ecc). I riscontri sono positivi e così, al termine dell'estate, Radio Popolare e Maurizio Principato decidono di protrarre il ciclo nei mesi autunnali e invernali. Le esecuzioni venivano rifatte al limite una o due volte, non di più. C’era una forte valorizzazione della individualità, della diversità e della collettività, che venivano tutelate da una ottima organizzazione di base. Eicher dava integrità al progetto d’insieme. E' stato un onore e una grande opportunità avere Vinicio Capossela sul palco: è i&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal; "&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;l narratore perfetto pe&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal; "&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;r 'A Night in the Old Marketplace' &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;".&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;A proposito del lavoro di regia, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Alexandra Aron&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; ha sottolineato che "&lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Ai fini narrativi gli elementi di maggior importanza sono la musica e le canzoni. Io ho lavorato per rendere la storia comprensibile anche a chi non sa nulla di folklore ebraico. Il controllo generale è stato affidato a Frank London, che si è costantemente sentito libero di lavorare e di confrontarsi con Glen, il librettista. Ognuno dei musicisti è stato messo a proprio agio affinchè potesse esprimersi al meglio. La scelta di avere un narratore 'locale' è nata per consentire al pubblico non americano di comprendere le sottili complessità del testo. E soprattutto coltivare il rapporto di scambio con se stessi e con gli altri. Intendo dire che il dialogo tra musicisti va sviluppato, così come è necessario che ognuno lavori con il proprio potenziale per aumentare e affinarlo. Non si tratta di stare chiusi in camera a suonare scale in continuazione ma di lavorare con agli altri, sentendosi tutti collegati. Tutto il resto dipende da te, perchè nessuno potrà insegnarti a suonare e ad avere un rapporto con la musica. Devi solo &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;uscire e suonare&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;. A qualsiasi livello tu sia, indipendentemente da chi ti chiede di suonare, rispondi sempre: sì. Imparerai da ogni esperienza. La musica è un’arte vivente che si basa sul fare con gli altri. Non imparerai niente stando in una classe o leggendo libri di teoria musicale. Imparerai sempre e unicamente suonando, sia con gente più brava che con gente meno brava di te. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Ripeto, il mio suggerimento è questo: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;dire sempre di sì.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KmF_f4t2oRY/Swpv0dsBDkI/AAAAAAAAACo/Ako9XIfcNhU/s320/Joey+Baron+-+pic+3.jpg" style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 302px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407257249724829250" /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;E prendi le distanze da chi ti dice come dovresti suonare perché, nel migliore dei casi, potrà soltanto insegnarti a diventare la brutta copia di qualcun altro, perdendo il suo e il tuo tempo. Nessuno è davvero interessato a sentire due o più persone che suonano allo stesso modo, anche se molti sono convinti del contrario. È meglio fare esperienza sulla propria pelle. Suona, ascoltando gli altri, soprattutto ascoltando te stesso. Trovati degli ingaggi come musicista: questo ti insegnerà molto più di qualsiasi corso. Se qualcuno ti dirà: suonami uno slow back beat e tu non sai che accidenti è, ti darai da fare e imparerai facendo pratica. È così che io ho imparato e che ho acquisito una mia individualità come artista. È il processo basilare. Ogni musicista studia i brani che ama e trae ispirazioni da essi, ma poi deve andare per la propria strada, senza imitare nessun altro, senza diventare il clone di un chissà chi. Lanciato senza rete tra le asperità ritmiche e le edificanti insidie del repertorio di &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;John Zorn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, dopo una partenza incerta il Potter (alla sua prima esperienza &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;live &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;con la galassia Masada) si è scatenato, dimostrando di sapersela cavare egregiamente. Imprescindibili il sostegno e la guida di &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Dave Douglas&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; (tromba), &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Uri Caine &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;(pianoforte), &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Greg Cohen&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; (contrabbasso), &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Joey Baron&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; (batteria). Nella primissima parte dell'esibizione Douglas ha spontaneamente assunto il ruolo di &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;temporary leader&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, per poi tornare alla normalità quando l'equilibrio espressivo/comunicativo tra i cinque (che di fatto sono tutti leader) e soprattutto il &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;coinvolgimento &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;di Potter sono stati brillantemente raggiunti. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Un'ora e mezza di musica dal vivo, basata sulle nove composizioni di "&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;STOLAS: Book of Angels, Vol. 12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;" che, nel corso della applauditissima serata al Teatro Manzoni di Milano, sono state arricchite da lunghe e ispirate improvvisazioni. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Grandi momenti di interplay tra il geniale Uri Caine e il funambolico Joey Baron, affiatati e disinvolti, capaci di provocarsi reciprocamente con grande humor. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Da segnalare i momenti più &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;alti&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; del concerto, raggiunti nei brani &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Psisya, Tagriel, Tashriel &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;e &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Haamiah&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Cultura musicale ebraica e jazz svincolato da limiti o freni intellettuali, mescolati con una passione smodata per la musica: questo è il &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Masada Book Two&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;. E adesso facciamo un po' di conti: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Masada Book Two-Book of Angels&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; è costituito da &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;300 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;composizioni, scritte dal prolifico e metodico John Zorn nell'arco di pochi mesi nel 2004, dopo i festeggiamenti per i 10 anni dell'esperienza Masada (Book One). A partire dal 2005 una parte di questi brani ha preso vita, cioè è stata interpretata/arrangiata/eseguita da numerosi musicisti ed ensemble, come &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Jamie Saft Trio, Medeski Martin &amp;amp; Wood, Cracow Klezmer Band, Bar Kohkba Sextet, Masada String Trio, Koby Israelite, Erik Friedlander, Mark Feldman, Sylvie Courvoisier&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;. STOLAS, visto/ascoltato dal vivo il 16 novembre 2009, protagonista del 12° volume, è un angelo, o meglio &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;lo è stato&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, come tutti gli 'ospiti' della serie Book of Angels: non si tratta infatti di angeli con l'aureola e l'abito candido, bensì di angeli caduti, di creature che regnano tra le tenebre. STOLAS, in particolare, è uno dei grandi principi dell'inferno, comanda 26 legioni di demoni, ha competenze di astronomia e conosce molto bene erbe, pietre preziose e piante velenose. Quello spirito di dialogo paritario tra musicisti, nonchè di slancio verso la libertà espressiva, la sperimentazione e la ricerca, che Zawinul - più interessato alla fama e alla ricchezza che non alla definizione di nuovi linguaggi musicali - rigettò ben presto, costringendo in un angolo Shorter e invitando Vitous, con garbo austriaco, a lasciare la band. Il contrabbassista si riappropria del &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;sentire &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;di quei giorni lontani nell'album "&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Remembering Weather Report&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;", in compagnia degli eccellenti &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Franco Ambrosetti, Gary Campbell, Nasheet Waits e del poliedrico Michel Portal. bruco umano&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, una filodrammatica serba in tour con un esplicito Porno Cabaret Club, un'aspirante suicida e un gruppo di sadici teledipendenti, una setta di sataniste, le opere più importanti di (Michelangelo Merisi da) Caravaggio: dal 27 ottobre al 31 ottobre 2009 questo crogiuolo di personaggi e storie ha dato vita (e parecchia &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;morte&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;) alla settima edizione del &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, che si è tenuta presso l'inquietante Cinema City di Ravenna. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Quelli citati infatti sono i soggetti di film ora paurosi ora sconcertanti e/o struggenti, che hanno trasformato Ravenna da placida "città dei mosaici" a "capitale mediterranea dell'incubo". &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;L'horror mostrato dai 13 film (provenienti da USA, Grand Bretagna, Indonesia, Canada, Serbia, Australia, Germania, Danimarca, Francia, Olanda - 12 delle pellicole partecipavano al Concorso del RNFF) proiettati nel corso dell'evento è sia quello della &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;bassa macelleria&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; tipica di molta cinematografia &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;gore &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;o &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;slasher&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, sia quello delle paure o degli incubi che vivono nascosti nelle zone d'ombra della società, alimentati dall'ignoranza, dalla rabbia, dalla follia. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Secondo &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Alberto Bucci&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;, direttore organizzativo del RNFF, "&lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Il vero incubo del nostro presente è la paura del diverso. L'uomo nero che non abita più nei boschi dei libri di fiabe, adesso è tra noi e la gente, spaventata dai media, vive nel terrore&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;". Forse per qualcuno l'unica speranza di salvezza è chiudersi in casa. Molti temerari hanno invece assalito il Cinema City, facendo letteralmente a gomitate per riuscire ad accedere alle varie proiezioni.
